Reaching Conference Venue (Sinaia)
The simplest option of getting to Sinaia is by taking a flight to Bucharest; the International Airport Henri Coanda (also known as the Otopeni Airport - OTP) is well connected to the rest of Europe and all major airlines have flights to and from this airport.
Reach Sinaia with the Conference Shuttle
The conference organizers will offer the possibility to travel with a direct bus on September 12 and 13 from Otopeni Airport to Sinaia and on September 15 from Sinaia to Otopeni Airport. More info will be provided later on.
Reach Sinaia by Bus
There is a direct transfer from Henri Coanda Otopeni Airport to Sinaia via a bus shuttle available for reservations at the following address: link. The single ticket costs 80 lei/approx. 16 euro.
Reach Sinaia by Train
- The train provides a fast connection between Henri Coandă Airport and Bucharest North Railway Station (“Gara de Nord”). Trains run 24 hours a day, every 40 minutes. The duration of the trip is approx. 20 minutes. For a train connection to the North Railway Station in Bucharest please see this link.
- Take a train to Sinaia. Trains leave almost every hour from 7 am to 10 pm and the journey takes 1h30. You can find the timetables here (departure station, in Romanian "Plecare",: Bucuresti Nord, arrival station, in Romanian "Destinatie": Sinaia) (please check the duration of the trip and avoid regional trains "R" which take 2h40)
- The train station in Sinaia is within walking distance (5 minutes) to Palace and Caraiman hotels.
Alternatively, you can take a taxi to North Railway Station, but please be careful to take an official one (those waiting in line at the Arrival Terminal or use a taxi selection system inside airport arrival, not drivers trying to pick you up inside the airport).
